Cochrell Maternity Session

This weekend was a very busy one for me. I took my Grandmother up to my parents for the weekend. We originally went up for my sister in law Chrissy's baby shower, but I had a very large agenda by the end. I took My brother Ward and his wife Christina's Maternity Photo's. She has less than five weeks left and they are naming him William Roy Cochrell.  My Grandfathers name was Roy and both of Chrissy's Grandfathers names were William, So he has large shoes to fill. I loved taking these for them because you can just see the love. How much my brother (who is my twin) loves his wife and his soon to be son. Here are few of my Favorites, That were taking in the gully below my parents house.  Enjoy!

The Blanchards October 2013

The session I did this evening was for my sister in law ,Chrissy's, sister and her family. Did I make that confusing enough? They are Joe and Ashley Blanchard and their adorable little boys Braden and Bryce.  I have known them for years and was thrilled when they asked if I would do their photo's.  I took them in the same park where I took The Blake Family Pictures earlier in the year. It is such a big park and the views change so much with the seasons, I couldn't help going back there.  Here are a few of my favorites. Today when I was taking them, I thought to myself that I believe my skills are evolving so much since I got my new Camera. It just makes me so much more confident and excited for each new session.

Jackson Lee....

Well as I had promised here are my favorites from the photo's I took of my nephew Jackson the last couple days. I had never done a baby this small and it is hard to work around their eating and sleeping schedules and when he wasn't upset about being put down... but he is precious and I hope he is ready for all the times I will make him model for me in the future.

More Fall.

As I said in my last blog, fall is my favorite time if the year. The last few days my husband and I traveled to go visit my family in Weippe. They are a lot higher in elevation then us and a lot colder. But as always it was gorgeous up there. I got to scout out a few places to do my sisters family photo's at, probably in a few weeks.

This place is exactly what my sister had been looking for.

While  I was in Weippe I got to do a mini shoot of my new nephew Jackson Lee. I am working on getting those up. When I do You will see them.

Fall in Lewiston

You all might recognize the park where these next photo's were taken. A personal favorite place for me because it is so close to my home. My friend Tallie is wanting to have her family photo's done here this year. So now that Fall has finally arrived I thought I would go see if the tree's are changing color. It was beautiful as usual almost a little fairytale like in some places.

New Layout.

I am a very Seasonal Person and my favorite Season is Fall. SO I thought It would be nice to give my blog a little something new until the Christmas Season Has arrived. No fear When The new Year hits It will go back to normal. My favorite things about fall are: I can wear sweaters, I can drink hot tea again, using my crock pot to make soup, hunting season, fall decor and of course the beautiful pictures it makes.

Flashes!

I have always been comfortable with the regular old flash my camera offered. Until that is, my husband bought me an attachable flash for my Camera for my birthday. My camera a Nikon D5200 is a wonderful Camera for the stage of photography I am in. Now my Husband, David, did some research. Being the Type A person he is, decided that I would be better off starting with a manual touch flash. He got me an off brand one, his theory was if I didn't like it then it didn't cost hundreds of dollars. But I love it. It is a Yongnou Didgital Speedlite Yn560-II. I believe He purchased it on Amazon. I have only practiced with it in the home so far due to the nasty weather we are having outside. I have a few Family sessions coming up this month and I know it will be wonderful to have then. It is fully adjustable so I can aim the light anywhere I want. This has been teaching m new techniques I cant wait to use and share. If you have never considered one I would recommend trying one out and watching your talent grow.
